Within a few months or even days, my favorite songs tend to change with my mood, or they get replaced by new songs that I find. Right now, I have ten songs that I can’t get out of my head and maybe they will get stuck in yours too.

1. Apologies- Destiny Rogers: This song has been my favorite for the week. The beat is catchy, and the singer has a unique sound. Listen to this when you are in your feelings, but you still want to turn up. It sounds best in a car on a warm day with the windows down.
2. Automatic- The Bonfyre: My mom showed me this song last week and I was hooked quickly. The sultry songstress sings over a beat with a lot of bass and some piano in the background. I like listening to this song while doing homework or even just vibing with my eyes closed.
3. Love comes back- Nazty Gal: This song I found on Soundcloud, which is an app that I hope never dies. There are so many unique, non-mainstream finds on there. This song has a repetitive- beat with a woman singing a hypnotizing chorus over and over. I love this song for doing homework and chilling.
4. Keep my calm-DUW: I found this song a few weeks ago and it is still on my list of favorites. The man singing, Duw, is a Soundcloud singer that I found. His voice is so special and different than any male singers that I have heard recently. It is indescribable, so you’ll have to listen.
5. Footsteps- Kehlani ft. Musiq Soulchild: This collab was something that I did not know I needed. This song is such a great, calming love song that will put you in your feels. I play it at least 5 times a day.
6. Side Effects-Paige Lihya: This artist is a bit underground, but this song alone should pull her to the top. The song has been my favorite for about a month; I recommend this song for a chill day of doing homework and vibing with friends.
7. Nobody- Miraa May: Miraa has been one of my top artists for a year or more. She is unique, speaks Arabic in some songs, and adds a flavor to music that is much needed.
8. This Universe-Umi: Just like the other songs above, this song is so calming. Umi is definitely an artist to watch. Her voice is nothing short of angelic and pure. If you are interested in a voice that can drive you to tears, listen to Umi.
9. All You-Quari Banks, Nannie, Chels: A past CMU student, Quari Banks has been one of my fave rappers. His flow is unique to the game and should be recognized. This song is more of a turn-up one in comparison to the others. Listen to this when you’re driving on a summer’s day.
10. Desert Rose-Lolo Zouhai: Lolo Zouhai has been my favorite artist for the year. She continues to impress me and bring something different to the music world. Not only is her voice memorable, but her use of French and Arabic in her songs along with English creates a unique listening experience.
